Healthy food

In this activity we work about healthy food. The subjects which are involves are: Science, English, Maths and Arts and craft.

In Science we work about what are healthy and unhealthy food. We use as a resource this link:

Then, in Arts and craft they have to create different images of healthy food and they have to cut and colour them. They will also create a big poster about a market and put in some place of the class. For instance, they can write: Our healthy market or Welcome to the market…In English, they can practice the vocabulary and structures.Finally, in Science and Maths they make the market with all creating materials and practice subtractions and additions while they are sending and buying healthy foods.

I would like to show you a YouTube channel whic I find quite helpful when talking about Science contents and experiments: SciShow Kids.

I like it because it explores all those curious topics that make us ask "why?". Jessi and her robot rat, Squeaks, answer our pupils' questions and explain fun, complex science concepts through experiments, researching questions or talking with experts about different topics. Here you have some videos, I hope you enjoy them!
